Google Earth a google developed free platform that allows us to view high resolution satellite image of Earth, Moon, Mars and sky. Through Google Earth you can explore the world with satellite imagery. In the previous article we explained how to Download Satellite image for free. A 3D representation with 360 degree view. For GIS people Google Earth is interesting tool for learning.

You can do many amazing things with Google Earth. In this article we writing about Create a free tour or video in Google Earth Pro.

Create a tour or video in Google Earth Pro

Go to My Places in the left side of the Google Earth App and right click >> tap on Add >> Click folder.

Fill the Folder name and description (if any).

Next step is to search for first location from where you want to start your tour. Like I am creating tour on seven wonders of world and my first location is Machu Pichu, Peru.

After writing location name click on search button. Then you will be directed to the location.

Now we will insert placemark at this Location. Go to tool bar of Google Earth and tap on Add Placemark icon icon shown below.

Place your place mark where you want. Default color is yellow for pin but you can change it by clicking on pin. Fill the location name.

Fill the description you want to show on the location when you click on the placemark.

You can insert image directly using Add local image or Add web image by copy the image address.

Tap on OK button after filling details or link.

After placing all location you can click on the with folder shown in below image.

Tour will play after clicking play tour button in the left. Now you can record it by tap on record icon in the tool bar. Once recording is completed you can save the tour or video on your system.

A place, business or address
A directions search
A street view image

Go to GIS MAPOG Tool
Create a Map using Point, Line or Polygon Layer or upload your data. If you don’t have the data then use sample data .
After creating a map, we do some styling. Tap on drop and select Styling.

Select-Style - Select the styles you want from different type of style

Fill and border color can be changed here. For more attractive map choose Category Style and tap on Edit Layer and then select the layer which you want to edit.

Edit- Layer - Edit the layer as per your need

After Custom Legend Your map will be displayed on the screen.

How can I go about sharing a map?
Share digital maps to your teams or upload on website.

After clicking on Share Map this will come shown below.

You can share your Maps in 3 different ways as shown above.
Lets See about Share Map (Public)

Fill the Title of the Map, Paste the link of your Map.
Navigation Bar.-Select the desired color of your navigation bar of map.
Click Add Item if you want to add items on navigation bar. You can also add the website link on your navigation bar of map. Once you done with this Tap on Share Map.
After clicked on share map, url will be created.
Through that url you can share your maps with others.

Create -Link- And share on websites and to your groups to view map instantly

In General to share the maps url created with encryption by the map tool.

Share Maps via Social Sites:

User can also share maps directly on social media like facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Linkedin. IGIS Map tool have provided Social media buttons on the sharing panel to initiate the sharing process for users. Or user can share the generated URL on social sites

Hello Folks if you are looking for QGIS 3.4.4 tutorial then you are at right place. Here in this article QGIS 3.4.4 tutorial : Creating, Editing and Mapping in GIS you will grasp to create new shapefile.

QGIS 3.4.4 tutorial : Creating, Editing and Mapping in GIS

Before creating new map layer go to browser panal. Choose XYZ tiles and select OpenStreetMap. OpenStreetMap is added to the canvas. Zoom in and pan the map if require.

For creating new layer go to layer in the menu toolbar. Select New temporary scratch layer. Fill the layer name and select the geometry of the layer you want.

Select Add polygon feature from digitizing toolbar.

Now Create your Layer using Add Polygon Feature.

You can edit the Map using Vertex Tool shown in below image.

You can toggle editing by clicking toggle icon from digitizing tool bar. Now Save your new layer by right click on the layer. Tap on Export and click Save Features As..

Choose the format of your Layer. Give the file name and browse the location of file. Final step tap on OK button. Here is your new shapefile.

If you want to create your Map more interactive then go to Symbology by right click on the layer and select Properties. Tap on Ok after editing.

In the Share Map box tap on Embed and copy the Embed Code.
Paste code in the source code of your website.

QGIS Tutorial – 3D Map view in QGIS 3.4.6

Hi GIS learners here in this series of QGIS Tutorial we learn 3D Map view in QGIS 3.4.6. For 3D view you need DEM – Digital Elevation Model. If DEM alien to you then first understand what is DEM.

What is DEM?

Digital Elevation Model abbreviated as DEM is a 3D view or raster representation of terrain and its is in grid form. Each cell represents a value and each cell or pixel have their single attribute. We can define it as an ordered array of numbers that represent the spatial distribution of terrain attributes. The quality of DEM is a measure of how accurate elevation is at each pixel level and how accurately is the morphology presented.

QGIS Tutorial – 3D Map view in QGIS 3.4.6

For Creating 3D Map you need to Download DEM. After downloading DEM file you need to unzip it. (Extract hgt file) Then in the menu select go to layer >> add layer >> add raster

Upload the raster file.

Uploaded DEM is displayed on the canvas.

Now go to the layer panel, right click on the published layer and select properties.

In the menu bar click on View and tap on New 3D Map View. Then following screen will appear.

If you receive error message then change the CRS to WGS 84/ World Mercator – EPSG 3395. Message image is displayed below.

In the 3D view screen tap on setting.

In the 3D configuration select the elevation, change the vertical scale and tile resolution.

Move your image by pressing shift + left button of mouse or track pad of laptop.

Convert Shapefile to DXF

Shapefile is a vector GIS format developed by Esri. It stores geographical information data. Shapefile have three geometries point, line and polygon. GIS data can be stored in different formats and the conversion of data from one format to other is also possible.

So in this post we convert Shapefile to DXF. Before conversion lets know what is DXF ?

What is DXF ?

DXF is a CAD (Computer Aided Design) fil format and it stands for Drawing Interchange Format or Drawing Exchange Format. DXF files make it possible to share drawing data and text-based formats across different CAD applications. DXF files are supported in several 3D applications and are completely open-source, so users can access AutoCAD files without using Autodesk programmes.

Convert Shapefile to DXF

For Shapefile to DXF conversion, go to GIS MAPOG Online Convert Shapefile to DXF Tool, after logging in with your registered email and password. If you are a new user, click the Sign Up button in the Login popup and register to GIS MAPOG by filling the details.

There are three main steps for using GIS Converter:

Upload the data
Choose the format to which it should be converted
Download the converted file.

Step one is to upload your Shapefile which you want to convert. You can upload your file from system or select from the Recent Files.

Here we have uploaded the Shapefile of the Texas state of USA.

Step two is to select the output format from the dropdown for the converted file, in this case its DXF. You can also set the Coordinate Reference System of your preference. As a default CRS will set to WGS 84 (World) [EPSG:4326]. Now Click on the Convert File button.

After a few seconds, your Shapefile will be converted to a Shapefile file and will be available for downloading.

You can also choose to style the layer or continue with further conversion process by clicking the Convert Another File button.

Converted Files section from the dashboard contains the list of the details of all the conversion done in your account, providing both input and output data available for download their corresponding formats.
